The Problem.

We had several issues with our refurbished 2nd BTR rolls for the Xerox® Versant® 80 180 2100 3100 4100 where lines and contamination are appearing on one side of the media. 

This is due to the metal roll vibrating and jumping away from the IBT belt. 

The Fix.

Tighten the coloured spring,  not the silver spring. Make small adjustments until the problem is eradicated.

Mark the position of the 2 screws marked A so you know where they were, then loosen them. Now turn the screw marked B clockwise about 2mm to tighten the spring and test the BTR.

If it is still producing the marks, do the procedure again until the problem has gone.
