The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) was introduced into UK law in January 2007 by the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations 2006 and aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.

We recover and recycle parts from machines for use in other machines, keeping them running until the parts dry up, which is one of the ways that we can all make a difference.

When we have finished with the machine, we strip it down to its bare materials and recycle them through the proper channels, and we don't mean we send it all to Africa as waste. It is all taken to the relevant UK recycling plants around the UK and the materials are reused.
